Back to doing what I love...Thanks to Lose The Back Pain.

Hi there, I'm Jasmine Ann and I want to share my sciatica story with you in the hope that you don't have to go through what I did....

Until that summer I had little experience of confusing and  frustrating  world of sciatic and back pain. I was a positive, happy, active and healthy person, and I saw no reason that would change…... but that summer it did - big time!

The Sciatic Pain Begins...

It all started with a burning above my knee. Dr suspected disc problems and sciatica. He said I must get a better posture-but how? Physiotherapy helped…but only temporarily, but I had high hopes of getting better quickly !

Then it got worse....much worse!! Severe hot burning pain and tingling down both legs hip to toes day and night, no respite. I was desperate  Physio thought I may need surgery...

Waiting for MRI, I spent weeks lying on the floor with severe back and nerve pain. The nights were worse, I could not sleep with my sciatica due to the pain. Miserable and demotivated wondering where my life had gone. Painkillers made me spaced out and sick; I couldn't live like that so I chose the pain…

SCARY DIAGNOSIS

I got a scary diagnosis of prolapsed, desiccated, degenerative discs with nerve compression and lordosis of lumbar spine…and a referral to neurosurgeon for back surgery. A four month wait list. With no progress, Dr said he saw no point continuing the physiotherapy…

Rock Bottom

This was my low point. I felt abandoned,  a failure. A hopeless case…. 

I tried a variety of alternative things for back pain.  I became sick of being in front of strangers in my underwear undergoing treatments which did not work or only gave temporary relief, pouring money down the drain....

I got through each day in pain. Sleeping with sciatica was impossible and  I only got any sleep when I crashed from exhaustion. What a life I thought…..Is this really the way it's going to be? Surely there must be another way and not just back surgery…….…

I got a grip and started to do my own sciatica research.

Hope for my Sciatic Pain

For the first time in months I had relief from the sciatic pain and got some restful sleep! Bliss :)

When I saw the neurosurgeon, he said I was doing so well I should carry on with Lose The Back Pain exercises and he saw no need for back surgery!

Over the next few months my back and sciatic pain relief steadily improved and I got my life back hiking, working, gardening, driving etc and my lovely husband was happy to have back the woman he married!

I have only one regret ....that I didn't find Lose The Back  Pain sooner... I could have saved myself  months of pain, distress and a lot of money!
